(among other things........)

Beef stew.

One of my favourite meals is beef stew. I grew up on it… It is simple to make, it’s hearty and comforting.. you throw everything in a large pan and bring to the boil then simmer for a few hours. Add some Yorkshire puddings or dumplings and some crusty fresh bread and … well yummy!!! But, why am I blogging about food? Well, I’m making beef stew for tea tonight and it got me thinking…

I think in some ways I can see our first few days of BDSM a bit like stew. I wanted to throw everything into the pot there were so many things to try and experience. My emotions boiled and simmered for days, so much desire and need that I wasn’t sure what to do with it. And, when I was granted release I was left feeling satisfied.

But the best thing about stew is that it is even better the next day 😉. It’s been that way for me. Every scene brings something new. As time has gone on new rules or expectations are given and met. Mr H is my comfort. He keeps me satisfied but always wanting more.

  1. Ooooooh I want beef stew now! lol.
But I get what you are saying. I think it’s common for us to be overwhelmed with the desire to do everything -now- because we are so excited with the discovery. There were so many things neither HD nor I had tried, and still haven’t because we haven’t had the time. And I still have that issue; HD and I discuss fantasies that we know won’t happen for years, if at all…and I want them -right now-. (That could be just because I am an impatient Little though.)
