I like to think I have an open mind. I figure it’s none of my business how anyone else wants to live their life as long as they are not hurting anyone. I find it incredible that anyone feels they have the right, in today’s world, to judge another’s choices. I recognise that I am also lucky to live in a country where men and women are valued equally. Where women have the opportunity to do anything they want to do.
When I hear some of the stories from around the world I feel so blessed.
But I don’t share how my dynamic with MrH works with many people. I don’t share because I fear judgment. That they will look at me and think how I am turning my back on the rights women fought for. That by being submissive I am living in a bye-gone era. Handing control over to my husband. Doing as I’m told. Following rules. But I am happy and content. I am not hurting anyone, so why should I be judged?
I wish I could believe everyone in the world would one day be free to live without fear of judgment.
