And we’re back

Well- not that I went anywhere particularly- but I mean the consultant has put me back on Tramadol slow release and once again my pain is manageable.  I’m also awake!

Actually that’s the only down side…. for me tramadol isn’t a sedative, it’s a stimulant. It doesn’t affect everyone this way just a small percentage, and lucky me, I’m one! Unfortunately this means I struggle to sleep….

I take a lower dose overnight but until I get used to it again I’m struggling to sleep.

Still, it’s a small price to pay to be comfortable…. to be able to drive…. and ride my bike!

As an aside I wanted to say Tramadol is a controlled drug in the UK and is highly addictive. It’s considered only when all other pain medication isn’t working.

As with all pain medication it should only be taken WHEN prescribed by a Doctor, AS prescribed and you should NEVER share your medications with someone else.

  2. Aww sweet I am sorry to hear this as I know how hard you worked to come off it before but like you say, hopefully this will ease the pain enough for you to get back to doing the things you love ❤️

    1. That’s the down side to any strong pain medication…. but I’ll take being able to live over being able to “function” ❤️
