On Being Married and Relationships

What’s new with A Submissive Wife? HRT, Munches and more.

So, it’s been a while, and I thought it was about time to do an update, and tell you what’s new. In many ways not much has changed since my last post, but there have been some. Now, I warn you these are not big changes, we are not fucking like horny teenagers, or living a D/s fiction fantasy, no we are just living our lives as best we can.

New page in a notebook

Starting HRT.

First of all, following a few discussions with my GP, I have started on HRT. It will take a few weeks to see any benefit from it but if the hot flashes, and brain fog are being caused by menopause I should see improvement. Menopause can also cause joint pain (as if I didn’t have enough) so perhaps I may see a reduction in that.

Munches.

We have continued to go to munches each month and have made some new friends. We have also continued to go upstairs and utilise the play rooms, so I have had a spanking each time. Mr H is getting more comfortable in this environment and next month plans to take our toy bag with the squealer and look to play longer.

We are also planning to attend our first BDSM event. This starts with planning outfits to wear as there is a dress code to adhere to, which is fun.

What’s New in General?

I have now completed a pain management course, which has been very useful. Learning how persistent pain works, and how to manage daily life without reaching for extra pain medication, has given me new tools to use.

Mr H has contacted the Dr to discuss how tired he has been and his reduced libido. He has had blood tests to check his hormone levels, and general health. These have been ok and so he has a new appointment in a few weeks to discuss the next steps.

Well that’s all really. I told you it wasn’t exciting didn’t I?

  1. While you are correct that a “lot” has not changed, there has been change! I’ve been on HRT for many years now following a medical necessity to have had a hysterectomy. I didn’t want to do it at first and experienced a lot of the same menopausal symptoms you mention too, but now I think I’ll be on it for the rest of my life as it truly is wonderful. I hope your experience is the same as mine!

And your real-life post here is amazing too. The regular things in life can cause our marriage dynamic to have to change and/or be accommodated too. This just shows how real you are! ❤️
